Announcements #4

The first random grading of your Discussion Blog Comments has taken place and grades are posted on ANGEL. If you have questions about the way your grade was calculated, please send me an email or PM.
I use the following categories to compute your Comment grades:
Grammar & Writing Style (3 points possible)
Connection to Lesson Readings and Themes (3 points possible)
Poses insightful questions to the class and stimulates conversation in new way (4 points possible)

If you did not receive full credit, chances are that you did not fully connect your comment to the topic of the lesson. So while I do love hearing your thoughts, be sure that you find some way to tie them back to the issue at hand.

For those of you who did not have a post to grade in Lesson 3 Discussion Blog, you will be receiving a score of 0. Remember that you are required to participate in this class every day of the week Monday through Friday. If we were meeting face-to-face, we would be spending 2 hours together every day, so I expect that you are putting in at least that much time on your own.

Lesson 4 opens today @ NOON. As always, the quiz will open, but now will not close until Friday @ 5pm. Remember to visit the Lesson 4 Discussion Blog, which features questions written by the talented members of Group 4. Also, your first group assignment (the feminist fairy tale) is due on Friday, May 26 @ NOON. If your group members have turned out to be a bunch of slackers, please let me know. If you yourself are slacking as a group member, you will be punished. Seriously.
